Compassion meets experience
Lewis Counseling Practice was born out of a deep commitment to meeting our clients where they are. We provide a comfortable and supportive space where we truly focus on what matters the most… you!
We specialize in helping adults and adolescents overcome challenges associated with trauma, and anxiety and depression. Our 20 years of experience in the mental health field have taught us the value of offering the right treatment at the right time. We rely on evidence-based practices to guide you toward healing.
Some of our specific training includes:

Meet
Amanda Lewis, MA, NCC, LPC, ALPS
Practice Owner, Lead Clinican
Trust is my guiding principle. As a way to earn your trust, I will listen to you and strive to understand your point of view. You don’t have to manage life alone! When it seems too difficult to move forward, I will help you find clarity and motivation.
It is an honor to walk with you on your healing journey. I am always humbled by my clients’ courage and growth.
My primary methods of self-care involve being outside. I love hiking, biking, and camping with my family. Nature helps me feel grounded and secure.
Amanda earned her BA in Psychology in 2001, and her MA in counseling in 2003. She is a nationally certified counselor and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of WV.

Life is filled with a variety of experiences and challenges, but you don't have to go through them alone. My goal is to foster hope and encouragement, and work with you through your challenges. I provide support as you seize your opportunities to learn and grow.
I offer an open, supportive and warm space where you can feel safe to share your thoughts, feelings, and emotions. I am here to support your social, emotional, and mental well-being. We will work toward building a trusting relationship focused on your success: whatever that means for you.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, being physically active. I also love sports.

Meet
Brooke Anderson, MS, NCC, Provisionally Licensed Counselor
Therapy is meant to be a warm, welcoming, and safe space for you to come when you need help processing things, need support, or aren't sure where to turn next. I am here to be that person and place for you.
My intentions are to provide you with the tools to successfully be able to accept, process, and manage your emotions and anything you are going through in life. My wish for you is that together we can open up a world of opportunities for growth in your social, mental, and emotional well-being.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I love going camping and boating, being anywhere near water, and reading.
I work with children and adults 5 and older. It is truly an honor to be able to walk beside you in your journey of self discovery, emotional wellness, and healing.
Brooke earned her BS in Child Development and Family Studies degree in 2021 and a MS, in Counseling, in 2023. Brooke is a nationally certified counselor.
Meet
Samantha Stahl, MS, NCC
Provisionally Licensed Counselor
I believe that no two individuals are the same or come into therapy with the same experiences. Therefore, I would define my counseling approach as eclectic/integrative because I believe in meeting my clients where they are at- then tailoring my approach to meet specific needs. To support the therapeutic relationship, my goal is to provide my clients a space to come as they are and be met with empathetic understanding, support, and genuineness.
Some things that bring me joy are spending time with my family [often playing board games, coloring, watching a good movie, or being outdoors], attending live music, and eating yummy food! I believe self-care comes in many forms, mine includes engaging in physical activity/exercise and skin care.
Samantha earned her BS in Psychology in 2015 and her MS in Clinical Rehabilitation & Mental Health Counseling in 2023. Samantha is a nationally certified counselor.
Meet
Lauren Batson, MA, NCC
Provisionally Licensed Counselor
To me, therapy is meant to be a place of safety and support as you explore becoming your favorite version of yourself. Sometimes this might mean exploring and processing emotions, sometimes it might mean exploring new habits, and sometimes it might mean developing greater compassion for yourself. No matter what it means for you, I believe that everyone is doing the best that they can with the resources that they have, and I want to support you with empathy and warmth as you navigate life’s many challenges.
When I am not working, I enjoy playing video games, listening to music, reading manga, watching anime, nail care, and collecting little trinkets.
Lauren received her B.A. in Psychology and Music in 2017 and her M.A. in Mental Health Counseling in 2023. She works primarily with adults and older adolescents and draws heavily from trauma-informed approaches, ACT, DBT, systems theory, and person-centered counseling.
